A student who wishes to major in music must pass an entrance audition before being admitted to the School of Music as a major. Scholarship auditions are open to all students regardless of their major. Audition dates are listed in this packet.

The Application Process

Select an audition date and call the School of Music (405-974-5004) to schedule an audition. You will receive an email or postcard confirming your audition date and time within two weeks.
You will play or sing for the UCO faculty in your performance area. Audition requirements for each area are enclosed in this packet you will also be asked to take placement exams in Music Theory and Piano. These exams are for advisement only and will not affect your admission to the program or your scholarship offer.
If you are unable to travel to campus on the scheduled audition dates please contact the appropriate faculty member to arrange an alternate appointment or to send a video taped/DVD audition. Videotapes/DVD’s must be received in the School of Music by February 15, 2008.
